My main complaint of the Dame 4’s was that they could be a little bit snug and tough to get on and off… I’ve got a wide foot… Perhaps the 5’s cure this? Nothing too spectacular has changed from the last few models – Dame’s sneakers are very comfortable. Now I’m really interested in how they feel underfoot considering that 4’s midsole was extremely low already.

I’ve updated this review with some fresh alternatives that are very easy to find right now (not that the Dame 5 is tough to track down even in 2022+). Early impressions left me underwhelmed from an aesthetic point of view but I’ve been anticipating these to be another solid performance shoe. The herringbone outsole provides ultimate traction, while the midfoot banking barrier allows for lateral stability for quick changes of direction. That’s awesome that your friend collects them, I assume since you say it’s an investment, he resells them – that’s currently one of the largest and most lucrative opportunities a sneakerhead can have these days, some of the rare kicks go for as high as a few grand!I’ll also hopefully answer the question to people who bought the 4th or the 3rd model and wondering if they should upgrade. Not sure if there’s a different finish on the rubber, but the out-of-the-box slickness from the People’s Champ is non existent on the BP. This section I didn’t like, not from a performance aspect as it played just fine, but it’s just noticeably cheap. It’s a shame, I really looked forward to it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one to be scare off by the looks. That most often comes from the support and cushioning aspects since aggressive and high volume movements need to be well supplemented by the shoe.

You have the break in the Lebron xvi a little to eliminate the heel slip but yea the lacing the is a B!I still really like the cushioning on the Dame 5 but I don’t think it has the comfort of the Dame 2 which wowed me out of the box.
