He noted that a moisturizer with a greasier consistency is more effective, but it might be uncomfortably heavy. But furthermore and very much appreciatively, Fine textually also shows both sides of the nuclear power/nuclear weapons debate, and by making neither camp villainous, by showing both the pros and the cons equally.

Googly eyes are used for a variety of arts and crafts projects including pipe cleaner farm animals, silly sock puppets, mischievous pranks, and other creations. Her mother then meets Gerald who Kitty takes an absolute dislike to and nicknames him 'Goggle-Eyes'. These novels have proved great favourites with reading groups, causing readers to squirm with mingled horror and delight as she peels away the layers in all too familiar family relationships, exposing the tangled threads and conflicts beneath.Hours later, I glance in the mirror and can’t help but notice the faint goggle-induced circles under my eyes. Kitty begins to see Gerald in a new light, and these scenes are touching as she finally begins to thaw towards him.

The inner black disk is allowed to move freely within the larger clear plastic shell, which makes the eyes appear to move when the googly eyes are tilted or shaken.

A new pair or different brand of goggles might not fully address the problem but a change can be an important part of the solution. One thing I particularly liked was the fact that Gerald isn't portrayed as the stereotypical 'evil' stepdad, as is so often the case in children's fiction.
