There are multiple pens and refills across many brands, however when you need to replace a refill, it is difficult to understand if they are compatible with the main body or not. But if you want to highlight something you’ve written then yes, the Muji ink is probably going to smudge. I would also say the Muji pen isn’t quite as black compared to the Pentel, however, this is a very slight difference.
